What is a Polyurethane Edge-Sealed Rock Wool Sandwich Panel?

A polyurethane edge-sealed rock wool sandwich panel (PU edge-sealed rock wool panel for short) is a building cladding panel composed of upper and lower color steel plates + a middle Class A rock wool core + polyurethane (PUR) edge sealing at both ends.

It integrates fire resistance, heat insulation, waterproofing, sound insulation, and structural strength, emphasizing "safety + energy saving + durability".

Product Structure

Panel (Upper and Lower Layers): Color steel plate (0.4–0.8mm), stainless steel/aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy also available, corrosion-resistant, anti-aging, aesthetically pleasing, and colorable.

Core Material (Middle): Class A non-combustible rock wool (made from natural rock), density 100–160kg/m³, fireproof, heat-insulating, and sound-absorbing; fibers are arranged perpendicular to the steel plates for stronger compressive strength.

Edge Sealing (Both Ends)

B1-grade flame-retardant polyurethane (PUR), approximately 50mm wide, blocks thermal bridges, provides waterproof sealing, and enhances overall strength.

Ordinary rock wool boards lack PU edge sealing,easily absorb water, have strong thermal bridges, and poor insulation;PU edge sealing perfectly solves these problems.
